Blackjack on Rookie
What is Blackjack?
Blackjack is the world's most popular casino card game, and for good reason — it's one of the few games where player skill genuinely affects the outcome. The goal is simple: get a hand value as close to 21 as possible without going over, and beat the dealer's hand. On Rookie, Blackjack is played with standard rules and is fully provably fair, so every card dealt is cryptographically verifiable.
Whether you're a seasoned card counter or picking up Blackjack for the first time, Rookie's version delivers the classic experience with the added transparency of provably fair dealing.
How to Play Blackjack
- Place your bet — set your wager before the cards are dealt.
- Receive your cards — you and the dealer each get two cards. Both of yours are face-up; the dealer has one face-up and one face-down.
- Hit — request another card to increase your hand value. Be careful — go over 21 and you bust.
- Stand — keep your current hand and let the dealer play.
- Double down — double your bet and receive exactly one more card.
- Split — if your first two cards have the same value, split them into two separate hands, each with its own bet.
The dealer must hit on 16 and stand on 17. Blackjack (an Ace plus a 10-value card) pays 3:2. If you and the dealer tie, it's a push and your bet is returned.

- Hand history — review your recent hands and outcomes.
- Provably fair dealing — every card is determined by the provably fair system, not a hidden RNG.
Provably Fair Blackjack
Every card dealt in Rookie's Blackjack is determined by our HMAC-SHA256 provably fair system. The server seed, your client seed, and a nonce generate the sequence of cards for each hand. After rotating your seeds, you can independently verify that every card was dealt exactly as the cryptographic proof dictates. No deck manipulation, no hidden shuffles — just pure, verifiable Blackjack.
A Skill-Based Classic
Blackjack has one of the lowest house edges of any casino game when played with optimal strategy. Knowing when to hit, stand, double, or split can significantly improve your expected returns. Combined with Rookie's XP system — where every hand earns you progress toward better mods across the platform — Blackjack is the ideal game for players who value strategy and skill.
