Chicken on Rookie
What is Chicken?
Chicken is a lane-crossing survival game where you guide your chicken across a series of roads filled with danger. Each lane presents a choice — pick the safe path and advance, but choose wrong and it's game over. With each lane you successfully cross, your multiplier grows, and you can cash out at any point to secure your winnings.
Think of it as a modern take on the classic "why did the chicken cross the road" — except in this version, there's real money on the line and every crossing is provably fair.
How to Play Chicken
- Place your bet — set your wager before the round begins.
- Choose your difficulty — select how many bones (dangers) appear in each lane. More bones means higher multipliers but greater risk.
- Pick a path each lane — in each row, choose which tile to cross. Safe tiles let you advance; hitting a bone ends the round.
- Cash out anytime — after any successful crossing, you can collect your current payout.
- Cross all 10 lanes to win big — make it all the way across for the maximum multiplier.
The game offers a satisfying rhythm of risk and reward. Each lane crossed feels like a small victory, and the mounting multiplier creates genuine tension as you decide whether to push forward or play it safe.
Chicken Game Features
- Adjustable difficulty — control the number of danger tiles per lane, from relatively safe to extremely risky.
- 10-lane progression — each successful crossing ramps up your multiplier, creating a satisfying risk curve.
- Visual gameplay — watch your chicken navigate the board with animated feedback on each choice.
- Cash out flexibility — secure your winnings after any lane, giving you full control over your risk exposure.
- XP-gated mods — unlock Road Scout at Level 6 to peek at one tile per round, and Safety Net at Level 8 for a chance to survive one wrong choice.
Provably Fair Chicken
Every Chicken round on Rookie is determined by our provably fair system before you make your first choice. The server seed, your client seed, and a nonce are hashed together to generate the positions of all bones across all 10 lanes. After the round, you can verify that the bone placements match the cryptographic proof — what you see is exactly what was dealt.
Level Up for Better Chicken
Rookie rewards experienced players with meaningful gameplay advantages. The Road Scout mod (Level 6) lets you reveal one tile per round before making your choice, giving you crucial information. The Safety Net mod (Level 8) gives your chicken a second life — survive one bone hit per round and keep going. These mods make Chicken on Rookie a fundamentally better experience the more you play.
