Rules
Goal: Predict whether the next card will be higher, lower, or the same as the current card.
Higher: Win if the next card is strictly higher. Multiplier depends on how likely this is.
Lower: Win if the next card is strictly lower. More likely = lower payout.
Same: Win if the next card matches exactly. Pays 12.87x but very risky (1 in 13).
Skip: Skip to the next card without guessing. Your multiplier stays the same.
Cash Out: Collect your winnings at any time. Payout = bet × cumulative multiplier.
Card Ranks: 2 (lowest) through Ace (highest). Suits are visual only.
Shows remaining card distribution in the deck. Looks like card-counting intel, but each card is derived independently via provably fair RNG.

What is Hi-Lo?
Hi-Lo is one of the simplest yet most compelling casino card games — predict whether the next card will be higher, lower, or the same as the current card. Each correct guess multiplies your payout, and you choose when to cash out. The longer your streak, the bigger the prize. On Rookie, Hi-Lo is fully provably fair with a 99% RTP and transparent multiplier math.
How to Play Hi-Lo
- Place your bet — set your wager before the first card is dealt.
- See the card — a card is dealt face-up from a standard deck ranking (2 through Ace).
- Make your prediction — choose Higher, Lower, or Same for the next card.
- Correct guess — your multiplier increases based on the probability of your prediction.
- Cash out anytime — collect your bet multiplied by your cumulative multiplier.
- Skip — move to the next card without guessing. Your multiplier stays the same.
One wrong guess and you lose your bet. The key is knowing when to push your luck and when to walk away.
Multiplier System
- Higher pays more for low cards — predicting higher from a 2 pays only 1.07x (very likely), but higher from a King pays 12.87x (unlikely).
- Lower pays more for high cards — the opposite logic applies to lower predictions.
- Same always pays 12.87x — matching the exact rank has a 1-in-13 chance regardless of the card.
- Multipliers stack — each correct guess multiplies your running total, so three correct guesses in a row can easily push past 10x.
Provably Fair Hi-Lo
Every card in Rookie's Hi-Lo is derived from our HMAC-SHA256 provably fair system. The entire sequence of cards is determined before the round starts — your server seed, client seed, and nonce generate 52 card values that are revealed one at a time. After rotating your seeds, you can verify every card dealt was exactly as the cryptographic proof dictates.
