Responsible Play Policy
At Rookie, we believe that playing should be fun, entertaining, and safe. While the Rookie platform operates as a sweepstakes promotional model and does not constitute real money gambling, we recognize that some individuals may experience difficulties maintaining healthy play habits. We are committed to providing a safe and responsible environment for all players.
1. Our Commitment
Rookie is committed to:
- Providing transparent and fair gaming experiences through our provably fair system
- Offering a comprehensive set of tools to help players manage their gameplay
- Preventing underage access to the platform
- Training our staff to recognize and respond to signs of problem play behavior
- Supporting players who may be experiencing difficulties
- Continuously improving our responsible play measures
- Complying with all applicable responsible play regulations in every jurisdiction where we operate
2. Responsible Play Tools
2.1 Purchase Limits
You can set limits on your Gold Coin purchases:
- Daily Limit: Maximum amount per day
- Weekly Limit: Maximum amount per week
- Monthly Limit: Maximum amount per month
Navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Play → Purchase Limits. Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit requires a 72-hour cooling-off period.
2.2 Session Time Limits
Choose a maximum session duration (e.g., 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours). When you reach your limit, you will be notified and automatically logged out. Configure in Account Settings → Responsible Play → Session Limits.
2.3 Activity Reminders
Periodic pop-up notifications remind you how long you've been playing and your net activity during the session. Default interval: every 60 minutes. Customizable to a minimum of 15 minutes in Account Settings.
2.4 Reality Checks
In addition to activity reminders, reality check notifications display total time played, total coins played, and win/loss summary. These pause gameplay and require acknowledgment before continuing.
2.5 Cool-Off Periods (Temporary Breaks)
If you need a break, activate a cool-off period:
- 24 hours
- 48 hours
- 72 hours
- 7 days
- 14 days
- 30 days
During a cool-off: you cannot log in; you will not receive marketing; your balances are preserved; the period cannot be shortened once activated. Navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Play → Take a Break.
2.6 Self-Exclusion
For longer breaks:
- 6 months
- 1 year
- 3 years
- 5 years
- Permanent (indefinite)
During self-exclusion: your Account is fully deactivated; you cannot log in, play, or purchase; you will not receive marketing; you are blocked from creating new Accounts; pending Prize redemptions continue processing; self-exclusion cannot be reversed during the selected period.
To self-exclude: Account Settings → Responsible Play → Self-Exclusion, or contact responsibleplay@rookie.gg, or send a written request. We will process within 24 hours.
2.7 Account Closure
You may close your Account at any time via Customer Support. If the closure relates to responsible play concerns, please indicate this so we can remove you from marketing lists, flag your Account to prevent reopening, and provide support resources.
3. Self-Assessment
If you're unsure whether your play habits are healthy, consider these questions:
- Do you spend more time or money on the platform than you intended?
- Have you tried to cut back but found it difficult to stop?
- Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when not playing?
- Do you play to escape problems or relieve negative feelings?
- Have you lied to others about how much time or money you spend?
- Have you borrowed money or sold possessions to fund purchases?
- Has your play caused problems in relationships, work, or education?
- Do you feel a need to play with larger amounts for the same excitement?
- Have you returned to play to try to recover from a loss?
- Do you neglect important responsibilities because of play?
If you answered "yes" to two or more, we encourage you to use our tools and consider reaching out to a support organization listed below.
