What is Keno?

Keno is a lottery-style numbers game where you pick your own lucky numbers and watch them get drawn in real-time. Choose between 1 and 10 numbers from a grid of 40, then 10 numbers are randomly drawn. The more of your picks that match, the bigger the payout — with multipliers reaching up to 30,000x on high risk.

How to Play Keno

  • Pick your numbers — select 1 to 10 numbers from the 40-number grid. Tap to select, tap again to deselect.
  • Choose your risk — Classic, Low, Medium, or High. Higher risk means more volatile payouts.
  • Set your bet — choose how much to wager per round.
  • Play — 10 numbers are drawn one by one. Matching numbers light up as hits.
  • Collect — your payout is determined by how many picks matched the draw, based on the pay table for your risk level.

Risk Levels

Keno offers four risk profiles that change the payout structure:

  • Classic — balanced payouts across all hit counts. Good for steady play.
  • Low — more frequent small wins, lower top payouts.
  • Medium — steeper curve with higher top-end multipliers.
  • High — maximum volatility. Low hits pay less, but a full match can pay 30,000x.

Provably Fair Keno

Every Keno draw on Rookie is generated using our HMAC-SHA256 provably fair system. The 10 drawn numbers are derived from a Fisher-Yates shuffle of the 40-number grid, seeded by the server seed, your client seed, and a nonce. You can verify any round after rotating your seeds. The draw is cryptographically deterministic and tamper-proof.
